In countries of particular importance, IMDI opens local representative offices i.e. IMDI Embassies, in charge of: Bilateral cooperation and agreement signing with hospitals, research institutes, their affiliate institutions and donors in the particular country, so as in the field representation of IMDI at local conferences, public events and in the local media.

Each embassy is managed by an ambassador.

The staff consists of a secretary, senior associates and Junior Associates.
